David Pendlebury, Senior Analyst of Thomson Reuters, visits NPU

David Pendlebury, Senior Analyst of Thomson Reuters, with three other colleagues visited Northwestern Politechnical University in the morning of June, 17th. Yuan Jianping, Member of the Standing Committee and the Vice President of NPU, Li Yulong, Director of the Development and Planning Division and Li Huaxing, Director of International Cooperation Department, Zhang Yingxiang, Director of Library, Liu Qiurang, the Associate Librarian and Xie Gongnan, from Department of Science and Technology had a cordial meeting with David Pendlebury and his group. The meeting was hosted by Li Yulong.

Yuan Jianping extended welcome to David Pendlebury on behalf of the university. David Pendlebury stated the purpose of this visit. He explained how to identify international partners from the perspective of qualitative and quantitative analysis, and how to conduct effective scientific research performance appraisal based on ESI and Incites database for NPU, etc..

The conference was oriented around performance appraisal methods and indicators of subject review and scientific research performance of world famous universities and subject evaluations conducted utilizing ESI and Incites, etc..
