Foreign Teachers Wanted

15 English and two German language teaching posts and are available starting from1st ofSeptember and is offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of one academicyear ending on 31st of July.

1. Requirements

(1) Applicantsshould be native English speakers from the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, andNew Zealand to be qualified for the English teaching position, and should befrom Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for the German teaching position;
(2) Applicants should hold a Bachelor, a Master or a Ph.D. degree (preferablyin Arts);
(3) Applicants should have at least two-year teaching experiences;
(4) Applicants should have the ability to teach a variety of classes, such aslistening, speaking and writing, British/American culture, English movieappreciation, literature, etc.

2. Teaching loadand other responsibilities

(1) 14 teachinghours per week;
(2) Free talk with students once a week;
(3) One lecture open to the university;
(4) English training program for NPU young lecturers;
(5) Teachers may also be asked to judge various English contests, and to taperecord questions for examinations.

3. Salaries andallowances

(1) Salary: 4000-6000 RMB permonthdepending on the teaching load (key factor), qualifications andexperience;
(2) A round-trip international air ticket for one-year contract and a one-wayinternational air ticket for one-semester contract;
(3) Traveling allowance: 3000RMB travelingallowance for one-year contract;
(4) Free accommodation;
(5) Medical Care: Clinic and hospitalization health insurance will be providedfor those under 60.

4. Followingdocuments are required to apply for the post
(1) CV;
(2) Photocopy of the passport front-page;
(3) Photocopy of highest degrees and teaching certificates (if any);
(4) A reference letter from previous employer.
